about
The band, fronted by singer-songwriter Ronan MacManus and guitarist Luke Dolan, fuses influences of rock, grunge, folk and Americana.
The single and upcoming music video are a discerning look at the seemingly impenetrable corruption of the world.
On the inspiration behind the song, Dolan states; “The saying “money goes to money” has been used by everyone in a complacent way, almost with a shrug of the shoulders, to acknowledge the fact that it happens but that’s just the way it is. We decided to write a hard-hitting song and produce a video especially with the current climate to show that the saying is very very true, even more so today and it’s just not right! The pay gap is vast and getting bigger by the hour it would seem.”
lyrics
MONEY GOES TO MONEY
I felt the hands around my throat
I felt the fear was here to stay
Can't keep my head above the water
Can't keep my poor face dry today
Feel like I'm running
Feel like I'm running away
Running from me and...
Running from myself
Money goes to money
Money goes to money
Money goes to money
Money goes to money
You'll never know how it feels
Living your whole life in the red
I can't eat
I can't sleep
Turning over and over and over in my bed
Feel like I'm falling
Feel like I'm falling
I can't catch myself
I can't catch myself
(I can't catch myself)
'Cos money goes to money
Money goes to money
Money goes to money
Money goes to money
Money goes to money
Money goes to money
Money goes to money
Money goes to money
